Plantfolio began with five mature jade mother trees and a simple question: can they become a real business without buying plant inventory?

Instead of hiding the process, we document it. The cuttings, the roots, the failures, the first sales, and the running total are all part of Broke But Growing.

Small Fortunes

Our flagship collection turns propagated jade into tiny living investments. Each Small Fortune is a little something to grow with—an easygoing good-fortune plant for a desk, windowsill, shelf, new home, or fresh start. Selected plants are numbered and connected to the mother tree that produced them.

What we believe

The humor gets attention. The plants deserve patience. Every sale should feel like joining the experiment—not buying anonymous inventory from a warehouse.

We are starting locally in San Mateo and the wider Peninsula and Bay Area, growing one honest batch at a time.
